We seek dedicated volunteers to help with fundraising, proposal writing, and strategic planning to ensure the success and growth of community initiatives. By collaborating with social workers and program coordinators, you’ll help bridge critical gaps and support projects that are vital to improving the lives of those in need.
We’re looking for volunteers to join our community development program in Uganda! To help us make a big impact, you should be good at writing proposals, raising funds, using computers, and networking with others. It’s also important to know how to plan projects and manage budgets. Volunteers need to be 18 or older, but families are welcome to join too. If you have these skills and want to help, we’d love to have you on board!
As a volunteer in our community development program, you will help by organizing fundraising events to support our projects. You'll also look for potential donors and write proposals to get the fund. Additionally, you'll create budgets for each project and help plan both short-term and long-term goals for our organization. Your work will make sure our projects are well-funded and well-organized, leading to real improvements in the community.
In Uganda, your efforts will have a big impact. By running successful fundraising events and securing funds, you'll help us start and maintain important projects. Your skills in writing proposals and making budgets will ensure we have the resources and plans needed to reach our goals. By supporting our planning, you'll guide the organization in both the short term and long term, helping us make meaningful changes in the lives of community members.
During your Uganda community development volunteer program, RCDP will provide you with accommodation and meals. You can stay with a host family or in a safe, clean volunteer house close to your project and the city. Host families are chosen to ensure a safe environment and a chance for cultural exchange. You’ll enjoy three local meals a day from Monday to Friday, with a mix of Ugandan, English, Arab, and Asian flavors. Our local coordinator will regularly check in on you and be available by phone 24/7 to make sure you’re happy and supported.
