The Fee and Dates

Every year hundreds of volunteers arrive in Thailand to volunteer from UK and USA based organizations and end up paying up to $2500 to volunteer for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, only a small portion of that money actually goes to host projects and host families. In our program, you will pay your fee directly to host families and projects up on arrival in Thailand. When you enroll our volunteer program we make sure that all of your money goes to the projects and host families. Part of your fees also helps us to cover our expenses. The program fee is divided in as registration fee ($259) and weekly fee (for room, food, coordination, and project donation).

Click to find the allocation of $259

You will pay your weekly fee directly to the host families and projects. The weekly fee is divided between room/3 local foods a day (90%) and project donation/support of local project staffs (10%). This allocation may be different depending up on location, project type etc. However, our coordinator will explain these issues before you pay the fee. Please find below the breakdown of cost in a weekly basis.

Accommodation/Meal/Supervision :

RCDP will look after your entire needs during your project work. Volunteers will stay in a hostel in the historic city of Ayuthaya, which is about 60 miles north of Bangkok. The accommodation is clean, in a safe place and within easy reach of all the volunteer placements. You'll have to share your room with other volunteers. The resident chef will prepare you 3 local meals a day.

In Surin, volunteers will stay in a volunteer house that is located in a safe and secure place. In the house, you will have to share your room with other volunteers of same gender. Food is not included in the program fee of Surin except in elephant program. Volunteers can either cook or eat out. Good food in local restaurants is quite cheap in Surin. During the project, our coordinator and local staff will help and guide you. If you have anything you need to discuss, you can call the coordinator anytime during the day.
