Scramble up Africa’s loftiest peak while ogling at plants—everything from lush rainforest flora to cactuses—along the way. And at the peak you’ll journey across glaciers.
Day 0: Arrival and orientation.
Day 1: Depart Nairobi and make for the safari trailhead of Arusha, plus a trip to Moshi to be debriefed.
Day 2: Rise early to begin the voyage to Kilimanjaro National Park, to begin the ascent – journeying through rainforests and Mandara Hut at an elevation of 2,750 meters.
Day 3: Journey through a rainforest, gradually ascend the mountain while carefully acclimatizing.
Day 4: Ramble through the peaks of Mawenzi and Kibo in an area known as “the saddle”.
Day 5: Ascend Gilman’s Point and Uhuru Peak to enjoy a stunning view of Tanzania and Kenya.
Day 6: One more session for marveling at Mount Kilimanjaro; descend through scenic Marangu Gate.
Day 7: Tour Moshi and wrap up your trip.

The mission of RCDP-Nepal is to encourage international volunteers to contribute in sustainable community development that benefits the underprivileged and extremely poor. By developing the places and the communities, the volunteers are also developing themselves and learning new perspectives and ideas that will ultimately change their lives.
