Officially known as the ‘Kingdom of Cambodia’, the country literally rose from its ashes leaving behind a dreadful past and marching towards a new era. Volunteering in Cambodia can be your chance to appreciate this ‘never failing’ attitude of Cambodians. You will also enjoy their warm hospitality and magnificent ruins that is littered around the country. RCDP International hosts various volunteering opportunities in Cambodia like taking care of orphans, teaching English and supporting local NGO’s /developmental projects. Be part of our volunteer programs and discover true Cambodia! This land will keep you captivated and mesmerized till the end!
RCDP Cambodia Program starts every 1st and 3rd Mondays of each month.
Every year hundreds of volunteers arrive in Cambodia to volunteer from UK and USA based organizations and end up paying up to $2500 to volunteer for 2 weeks. Unfortunately, only a small portion of that money actually goes to host projects and host families. The local host projects (orphanages, school, and local NGOs) in Cambodia are poor and need external support to run their programs. In our program, you will pay your fee directly to host families and projects upon arrival in Cambodia.
The Program FeeWhen you join our Cambodia volunteer program, we will make sure that all of your money goes to the projects and host families. Part of your fees also helps us cover our expenses. The program fee is divided as registration fee ($259) and weekly fee ( for room, food, coordination, and project donation). Click to find the allocation of $259
In Cambodia, weekly fee is divided between room/3 local foods a day (50%) and project donation/support of local project staffs (50%). This allocation may be different depending on locations, project types etc. However, our coordinator will explain these issues before you pay the fee. Please find below the breakdown of cost in a weekly basis.

* Comprehensive Travel Insurance $3 per day
The weekly Fee Does Not Include: Airfare, daily transportation, visa and visa extension fee, airport drop, airport taxes, any personal expenses on food and travel, mineral water and soft drinks, laundry, telephone, immunization, etc.
In Cambodia, accommodation depends on the type of project selected and its location. If you work in an orphanage, you will stay inside the orphanage hostel sharing room with other volunteers. Staying in orphanage hostel you’ll get the opportunity to observe the children closely. You can also choose to stay with a host family. For volunteer projects like teaching English, medical project and HIV/AIDS, host families are the only option. You will be provided with a separate room with shared bathroom facilities and served 3 meals every day. Staying with a host family can be your window to the wonderful culture and lifestyle of Cambodia. Time and again, RCDP staff will visit you to inquire on your health and safety conditions.
