Xue Ying Fiona WangIn the rural communities in Argentina, specialized care workers are harder to find, and often in deprived areas, the centers will after children function without adequate staff. For those interested in helping children, this is a wonderful project where you can pour your care, love and expertise to help the children. The project works with 2 to 5 year olds and they demand a lot of patience and dedication. If required, participants will also visit homes for social studies and government help. The project is located about 30 miles from Cordoba City.
Participants must be at least 18 and have insurance to cover their accident, liability and health. Volunteers with basic or intermediate knowledge of Spanish will be able to volunteer effectively. If do not have any knowledge of Spanish, please consider joining our Spanish program while volunteering in Cordoba. Participants must follow all the rules and regulations of the organization they will work for. You must also be self motivated, resourceful and willing to join in a wide range of activities. You must also have skills you can use to make your project successful.
Volunteers will watch the children during working hours and prepare recreational activities. You will also send your time playing and talking with the children. You will assistant the teachers and other volunteers on routine work. Other works include helping the kitchen and teaching the teaching. You can also propose new ideas to improve the activities.
The project is located about 30 miles in Cordoba. Cordoba is Argentina's second city and lies in a fertile, agricultural area, watered by the Primero River. The city is also fast growing into a commercial region with an automobile industry and an expanding tourism industry. The combination of colonial past, modern buildings and a convenient base for exploring the nearby Andes and the Pampas make Córdoba a favored spot for conventions and language schools. Its location provides the arena for many adventure and/or extreme sports.
